RN SUPERVISOR: Assisted Living
REQUIREMENTS:
- Must hold and maintain Registered Nurse License - CURRENTLY with waiver for out-of-state Nurses to work within Delaware
- Current CPR, AED, and first aid certification
- Understand and keep current with federal and state regulations as they pertain to Assisted Living Facilities and COVID-19 infection prevention
- Valid driver’s license with reliable transportation
- Proficiency with computer, working knowledge of Microsoft Office, Microsoft Exchange with the ability and willingness to train and learn new software as is applicable to position
- Minimum of 1+ years of management/supervisory experience preferred
- Long Term Care experience of two (2) or more years’ preferred
- Working knowledge of dementia care a must
- Excellent communication skills
- Ability to multi-task
JOB FUNCTIONS:
- Oversight of nursing department personnel, through competency checks, planning and organizing mandatory staff training.
- Tracking of staff certifications and ensuring licenses are current
- Provide feedback regarding staffing needs in order to meet needs of resident population
- Assess the clinical criteria of potential residents to determine admission approval, develop individual resident service plan based on resident needs. Define level of care classification and communicate with billing officer
- Monitor documentation of nursing staff to ensure compliance with all state guidelines as well as facility policies and procedures
- Assist in preparation of annual budget for nursing department and monitor monthly costs
- Direct, attend and participate in regularly scheduled building management meetings, QA, monthly campus management meetings, clinical rounds with healthcare partners and other campus committee meetings in the absence of the RSD
- Hold resident / family meetings as needed to discuss clinical conditions
- Schedule and facilitate staff orientation program in conjunction with RSD and other departments as required
- Maintain HIPPA and the confidentiality of all resident care information
- Perform daily rounds for safety
- Observe medication passes and nursing treatments to ensure proper administration
